Kara Bodegón-Hikino is an author-illustrator + music journalist
She's been writing for music and lifestyle publications (PULP Magazine, Juice PH, Yellow Pages, Billboard, Bandwagon Asia) and working behind the scenes at concerts since 2011.
When she isn't writing or drawing, Kara enjoys playing video games, chowing down on pizza, worshipping heavy metal and Disney soundtracks, and wishing she could one day be a great white shark.
Kara's debut graphic novel SQUALO & MAGE is coming through HarperCollins in 2023. Her debut picture book BIGGER THAN ME with author Erica Simone Turnipseed is coming through Atheneum/Caitlyn Dlouhy Books in 2023.
